New?
I love reading peoples’ blogs. I’m not talking about the tumblr-ish picture reposts, internet memes, and two-word entries. I love the blogs where I really get to know the writer’s thoughts and feelings; to take a peek into their brain through their words. It could be something deep and meaningful like their thoughts on dating (an entry of an acquaintance’s that I just read) or even something random like what happened to them today.
At the same time, I wish I could write the same. To bear my soul with my words. But I’m too self conscious to allow myself to do that (heck, I don’t think I “bear my soul” to anyone in my regular life so how can I publicly on a blog?). It’s really a catch-22: having actual people reading my entries motivates me to write, but afraid to write anything much lest too many people would read it.
Maybe Tumblr isn’t the forum for what I want my blog to be like anymore (I started using tumblr 2 years ago when barely anyone used it but now it’s too popular, too hip, too public, too many peering eyes).
Maybe I should try personal journaling again. Reactivate my old livejournal account. hehe.
