The Obligatory New Year Post
Although 2010 felt like it went by so fast, looking back, I’m also filled with so many amazing memories. Was it the best year of my existence so far? quite possibly. All I know is that in 2010, I’ve met so many amazing people, had so many great experiences, and grew both professionally and personally.
Before 2010, I’ve always thought, “oh, I don’t feel like college has changed me at all.” In a sense, that is still true. I feel I’m still the same person as I’ve always has been. But in the past year, I’ve definitely have come to learn so much more about who I am and just had an immense mental and emotional growth (even if I don’t always show it :P).
2011 could possibly be the scariest year yet for I’m finally graduating college and being release into the real world. I don’t know what the future brings but isn’t that one of the best parts of living? But one thing I need keep reminding myself for the upcoming year is that: my life is pretty effing incredible! I need to get over the grass-is-greener mentality that I get sometimes when I see other people and realized that I myself am living a very blessed life.
Although I’m blah with new year resolutions, there are some general things I do want to work on:
-Whine and complain less/Be less pessimistic (although a good level of self-deprecation is what makes me…me)
-Record my spending (2010 was a fun year, but having fun also meant too much reckless spending, got to be careful)
-Be good to my parents/call my mom more (even if it is just to get an earful of nagging)
-Go with the flow and believe that life always have a way to work itself out
-STOP forgetting and losing my shit
-BE HAPPY! :)
Happy New Year and I hope everyone have an amazing 2011
